I didn’t realize it was brewed with anchovies when i picked it up- I probably would have passed, though I’m glad I didn’t. There is a big olive brine note in the aroma along with coffee, chocolate, roasted malt. It’s like the first time you open a fresh jar of olives. The flavor has a touch of the same, but very reserved. Salty brine, umami, roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, earth. No anchovy notes to be found. A bit of an odd inclusion, until you remember it’s brewed in Spain … a country who loves their tiny fish. Impressed with this. Overall, a well made impy with some interesting brine notes along the way.

Sevilla Santa-Clara, a well brew ipa, if I am not wrong, the citra hop is dominant here, bitter crispy, herbal, a bit soily and mineral, dry, 19.01.20.

Pours amber with a lasting off-white. Aroma: caramelly malts, light toffee and brown sugar. Taste: caramelly malts and dried fruits. Medium bitterness. Good.

Cloudy golden with a white head. Citrus, sweet toasted malt, tropical, light melon. A hint of bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied. Nice brew.

Draft @ El Birrot. Une chose est certaine avec Dougall's - toujours sympa d'avoir des IPAs classiques sans du haze.
Pâle presque plus sur l'ambrée, col blanc-cassé crémeux moyen.
Arôme sur un bouquet bien ficelé, c'est classique et fort bon - bonne base de malt qui reste bien présent, voire un peu plus que les houblons. Ici, cela surge sur le grillé/toasté, des notes de caramel tout en ayant un support houblonné sur les agrumes - pamplemousse, ainsi que un bon côté fleuri - noble US classique.
Palais est assez centré sur le malté - du coup cela passe aussi presque pour une pale ale., le tout reste toastée tout au long. Touche de houblons en support - pamplemousse rose, et finement herbacé avec une petite pointe de pin.

Keg at Bihotz, Bilbao. Clear amber small head. Leafy grapefruit aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Fruity and leafy, some hay and bitter orange. Long bitter finish.

Savouring this beer, in one old fashion bar, Madrid, close to Pueblo Nuevo, metro station, on friday night. As usual, it was for me a good experience with this ipa, well balanced, dry malt, herbal, fresh bread, tasty delightful notemof pineapple, 22.10.23
