Description
Scofflaw burst onto the scene during the latter half of 2016 and has quickly become recognized for its highly sought after IPAs and Stouts including Basement IPA, POG Basement IPA, as well as its higher-gravity IPAs such as the Double Jeopardy and Hooligan. Scofflaw's Absentium Stout, and in particular the Barrel Aged Vanilla Absentium stout, are coveted among traders. Even so, Scofflaw's focus continues to be on Atlanta's west midtown area and its surrounding neighborhoods, such as the Bolton hood.

Very balanced smoothie IPA, reaching a comfortable equilibrium between mango-berry vanilla notes and the citric hop bitterness. Hints of sweetness never actually become sweet, while earth and grain from the malts provide a solid base. Finishes dry and piney with a moderate citric-berry tartness. Pours pretty gold with a frothy white head and nice lace. Perky texture has just the right amount of oily IPA slickness to be wickedly drinkable. Tasty.

50cl bottle pours with a mahogany colored body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up bruising vanilla yum and then some spicy black strap molasses, thin smooth bourbon and dark roasted malts. The taste delivers smooth rich integrated vanilla, molasses, chocolate and soft supple bourbon. Dange. To midway it gets more vanilla bean like before mild spicy black strap molasses. Wow. Amazing sipper.

12 oz. can. Thanks, Tim! Pours black, with a small, fizzy, beige head. Light cocoa, brown sugar, black pepper, caramel, and a bit of coffee. Sweet and malty, with a bit of bitterness. Medium body, with a smooth, malty, and velvety mouthfeel. This is a well made, simple, and delicious stout.

Some lime and not much else. Kind of boring like kids movies when you're sober. Taster at a wine taster bar in Savannah.

Tasty coffee milk stout, creamy and smooth with an admirable balance between chocolate sweetness, coffee acidity, and a dry, hoppy bitterness. Chocolate, strong dark java, and deep roasted malts form the heart of the pint, while hints of anise, caramel, pine, and dark fruit float around the periphery. Coffee cherries and pine grow stronger towards the finish, while the fade offers notes of bakers chocolate, pumpernickel bread, and char. Pours brown-black with a thick tan head and ample lace. Aroma offers up chocolate, wood, and coffee. Slick texture is oh so drinkable. Lovely pint.
