More earthy than juicy, with a ton of damp dirt notes to balance the pineapple, melon, mango, and lemongrass. Good on the front end, but picks up a striking astringency on the back, rendering it almost undrinkable as the pint warms. Shame, really.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a slightly hazy straw gold with a finger of white foam that lingers. Lemon, biscuit, white grape and light gooseberry aromas as it warms. Crisp and clean on the palate. More biscuity malt with a slight sweetness underneath. Has a drying finish. Very enjoyable.

Has that bourbon burn as it warms. Vanilla and chocolate abound. Cake like texture and taste. Hint of coconut, didn’t get much pecan or pistachio, which I’m okay with. In short: a boozy birthday cake. Thanks Sam! I owe you beer, sorry! Happy anny SGB!

Pours black, small tanned head. Scent is full, roasty, chocolate . Mild, yet noticeable barrel profile. Taste is full, sweet, intense chocolate. Bourbon barrel has the biggest intensity. medium boozy, thick body. Intense . lovely.

Pours black, no real head. Scent is full, plastic, oily, bourbon, almond - probably what gives me the plastic/oil sensations. Taste is full, chocolate, intense, loads of almond, sweet. not my thing at all, due to the almond (very pronounced) but still deserves a nice score since the basebeer isn't lost, and shows great quality.

Hazy orange-brown body, huge cream head. Nose light, bready, herbal, lychee. Body soft with dough, spice, lychee, fleshy light melon, and herbal notes, with light dankness. Nice.

Pulpy purple, sudsy pink head. Nose has plenty of raspberry and blueberry and pie, lactose and vanilla. Flavor has the berries and a merlot jam thing happening, clear sherbet character. Full, sticky, fruity finish. 6 4 6 4 12
