Bomber from Albertsons. Needed a warmer after waiting out in 20 degree weather for a late bus. Clear mahogany pour. Small skin of finely beaded head. My first review of the Quadricorn recalled a heavy hand with the candy sugar. The aroma on this still comes off sweet (molasses), but with plenty of prune aroma as well. Taste adds some of the rum notes to the pit fruit flavors, but seems to temper the sweetness as well. Late warmth rises and provides a nice glow. Mild, pleasant sweet lingering notes. Much better with the rum treatment.

Bottle from Albertsons. Dark brown, instant foamy head, fades to tiny ring. Sour, musty aroma from the rye. Bitterness comes in with the taste, some chocolate, mild sweetness. Rye seems to work well with the roast malts, some savory notes too. Slick body and feel.

On Tap clear deep dark brown. Coarse thick tan head and spotty lacing. Woody slightly sharp malt flavors. Some coffee, not over done. A little sour tang, like a porter. Moderate bitterness. Seems more like a robust brown. Not quite so stoutish.

Bottle from Albertsons. Pale, clear golden body, spare head. Aroma is non-existent, neither good or bad. Faint, light wheat notes in the flavor. Kind of watery, light dry, bitter finish. Not much substance here.

Bottle from Bier:Thirty. Edge had been hit and miss with me, but this is a hit. Citrus aroma bleeds into a bittersweet taste, bitterness seems more blood orange than Clementine, but finishes with definite citrus/Clementine tang. Hoppiness factors in too, mild bitterness, some sweet malts. Lots going on here. Tasty and refreshing.

On tap Slightly hazy deep golden small off-white head The farmhouse yeasty aroma and flavors are there but the taste and Skaggs is a bit heavy. Possibly the FG is a bit high and/or the carbonation is low. Some CO2 issues at the tap. Flavors are nice though.
