Solid pale, murky and foreboding but with a friendly hop demeanor and a sweet malt center. Funky, pungent hops meet a mild haystack and cereal malt back, leading into a forgiving hop finish. Could use a little more ass, but it is an extra pale, so we’ll give the modest weakness of the fade a pass.

Can. Really muddy looking medium/dark yellow with a frothy white head. Very light caramel and citrus hop aroma. Overall, the flavor is balanced towards a light hop bitterness, but this has good malt balance as well.

Can. Murky amber with a generous off-white head. The aroma is light toffee and toast. The flavor starts with caramel sweetness, then a bit of hop bitterness tries to come forward but the sweet malt finish pushes it into the background once again.

Can Slightly hazy gold with a tall, dense white head. sweet caramel aroma. The flavor is lightly sweet on the front with a touch of bitterness in the finish. OK for a blond ale.

Leighton’s flat clearance. Thanks to Leighton. Can, named after our ol’ pal Jackl! Almost clear amber beet, tidy cream colour head. Palate is airy, ssmi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Dry and mildy sweet pale malts. Light floralness. Modest but fairly bitterish citrus. Light dry floral finish. Overall - a tad awkward.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy orange with medium white head that lasts. The aroma is tropical fruit and melon. Medium body, juicy hop, melon, pine, light bitterness, very good.

On tap at Avenue Pub. Pours a cloudy orange with small white head that lasts. The aroma is citrus, pine, dank. Medium body, juicy, grapefruit,pine, resin finish, very good.
