Draft at Saltine. Ckear golden amber, thick cream colored head. Aroma of peppery biscuit. Taste is black pepper, bitter bread. Proper stuff.

Cochon Butcher, New Orleans can: Pours golden with white head. Aroma is bready with a good bit of hops. Taste is more bitter than you would expect. Nice amount of hoppiness, but still a smooth blonde ale. Simple and to the point, but well made.

Cochon Butcher, New Orleans tap: pours amber with a white head that does not leave much lacing. Caramel and toffee in the nose. Taste is sweet ar the front then it get a bit bitter and that bitterness follows and dissipates into the aftertaste. Good Esb.

Coffee, charred oak nose. Black, medium tan head, nice lacing. Moss, soil, and bark. Medium body, creamy, soft carbonation. NIce balance, skillful use of bittering hops.

16 ounce can shared by obguthr at the 21st Richmond Gathering, 11/1/14. Pours a clear dark brown with a large foamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of roast, herbal and pine hops. The taste is pine, resin hops, chocolate and caramel malt. A little thin. Mild lingering balance.

16 ounce can shared by obguthr at the 21st Richmond Gathering, 11/1/14. Pours a clear copper color with a medium tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of tea, toffee, citrus. The taste is toffee malts, bitter citrus hops. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

Can. Pretty close to black, brown lopsided head. Aroma of huge pine, background of roast. Taste is bitter pine resin. Decent.

Very weak lemon nose. Crystal clear amber, medium head, good lacing. Barley malt flavor, husky, lightly sweet. Medium body, very little carbonation, but I like that. Not a favorite style, but this was nicely executed.

Can: Fairly rich honey and caramel, bread nose. Hazy copper, thick yellow head, good lacing. Even mix of honey and hay flavor, dried leaves. Apple and cherry notes can be discerned. Dark honey finish. Medium body, easy carbonation, alcohol briefly noticeable at midpalate. Outstanding version of an ESB by an American brewery.
