Tap at the brewery taproom. Pours dark gold with a creamy white head. Aroma seems a bit citrus - tho rye notes exist. Med body. Flavor is rye spice, fruit with citrus hints and very nice, but fairly different, backbone. Maybe there’s a generous amount of rye here. Tasty.

Tap at the brewery taproom. Pours very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is lightly fruity. Med body or almost. Flavor is a bit dark malt, followed by some very earthy notes along with Belgian yeast/spice/fruity esters.

Tap at Davis Beer Week B&B Fest. Pours translucent ruddy amber with a creamy off-white head. Fruity ester aroma. Med body. Fruit, malt flavors. Finishes fruity and towards dry. Compares favorably with the original.
