Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a near clear deep copper body that supports a tan head of foam. The mild aroma is vaguely malty and a biscuity minerals sort of mixture. The taste starts with some sweet fruity esters, a dash of roasted malts, a modest pine hoppiness and then a blend of biscuit malts an herbal sense and minerals. Interesting and it doesn’t seem to work too well for me.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a deep gold body that supports a bright white head. The mild aroma offers up maltiness and just thin ribbons of thyme and sage. The taste delivers big yet restrained thyme and sage. Well behind those notes seems to lurk the malt base and some spicy noble hops. Neat brew.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a copper body that has thin gold edges and supports a dirty white head. The aroma is largely pine with a bit of malts and citrus around the edges. The taste starts with citrus bitterness and quickly getting into increasing hoppy bitterness that has a firm resiny edge. To midway it picks up floral and a dash of soapiness. All in all pretty tasty.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a nice dark body that supports a dark tan head. The aroma offers up burnt malts and black licorice and that’s about it. The taste starts with plenty of dark roasted to full up burnt black patent like malts. The burnt malts create a bit of a drying sensation toward the finish as it becomes a little coffee like here and there as well as chocolate and spicy black licorice.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a deep copper body that has a slight rosy hue and supporting a bright white head. The modest aroma offers up some cherries and a Belgian spicy yeastiness. The taste is refreshingly on the bright side with a yeasty spiciness and mild fruity tartness. To midway a modest cherry tartness and fruitiness murmur to the surface. Amazing how this stays kind of light and with minimal sweetness for a pretty big beer.

The growler pours with a pure gold body that supports a nearly bright white head of foam. The aroma offers up some graininess mixed with malt sweetened doughy notes as well as a sliver of a salted lime like sensation off in the background. The taste is smooth with sweet malts that lean into sweet apricot and pear like fruity esters. To midway it picks up slim ribbons of salted lime but it remains plenty sweet right into the after taste. This seems more sweet than it needs to be.
