Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8
Location: Sampled a couple days before it was going on tap at the Brewpub, 3/8/14
Aroma: The nose is roasty and nutty, balanced by a clean hop aroma
Appearance: Pours a light brown color with a small tan head on it
Flavor: Tastes much the same, roasted malts, some sweetness, and a balancing bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, it has a clean feel, soft carbonation, and a mildly dry finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was a really nice beer. If I didn't I wouldn't rate it, because it was a day or two young of being where they were ready to tap it, but I thought it was really flavorful and enjoyable.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub with a clear amber body that supports a light tan head. The aroma offers up modest roasted malt notes along with a touch of nuttiness. The taste is a fairly rich mix of roasted malts and nuttiness where a modest malty sweet to caramel malt base provides support. As I try to assess the hops it dries out a tad and finishes with a light lingering after taste of malty to slightly roasted maltiness.

Location: Draft at the Brewpub, 3/8/14
Aroma: The nose is fruity and a little sweet for the style, with some pine/resin hops as well
Appearance: It pours a mostly clear orange-amber color with a small head and average lace
Flavor: The flavor is much the same component-wise, medium sweet and medium-plus bitter
Palate: The body is medium, it has a soft-to-average carbonation, and a smooth, clean feel
Overall Impression: I liked this one. Maybe it is a hint sweet for the style, but overall, it is a pretty enjoyable IPA. Nicely done.

Aroma: The aroma is dry roasted coffee, with some caramel and toffee notes
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a small head and some average lacework
Flavor: The flavor is roasty and dry, coffee, mild sweetness, medium bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, leaning light but not watery, smooth, creamy, and easy drinking
Overall Impression: I can see why they said this beer is made for a stout lover who wants an easy drinking beer after a hike. This seems like it fits that category just about right to me. Nicely done.

Location: Draft at the Brewpub, 3/8/14
Aroma: The aroma of this one is caramel and citrus mostly, some pine/resin notes
Appearance: It pours a caramel-to-red color with a small beige head and some light lace
Flavor: The taste is nicely balanced between the caramel sweetness and the hop bittterness
Palate: The body is medium, it is very drinkable and smooth, with a clean, sessionable feel
Overall Impression: I really enjoyed this one. It was probably my favorite thing I had at North Mountain. Nicely done. I would say make this a regular offering. At just over 5% it is close to being a great session.

Location: Draft at the Brewpub, 3/8/14
Aroma: The nose is sweet and light, grains, some honey and sugary components
Appearance: It pours a slightly cloudy gold-orange color with a nice white head on it
Flavor: The flavor is similar, light, but pretty nice, sweet, but not overly sweet
Palate: The body is light, somewhat creamy, a little sticky, with a clean, smooth finish
Overall Impression: Yes, this could probably use some balance, but I see the appeal, and the beer itself seems well-made to me. My ratings overall for this brewery might be high, because I had a really nice experience there, it may have shaped my opinion on the beers.

Aroma: This one has a solid hefe nose with lots of clove/spice, banana, and wheat
Appearance: This one pours a cloudy orange color with a white head
Flavor: The taste is similar, mid-sweet, good wheat flavor, plenty of clove/spice
Palate: The body is light, it has a medium carbonation, and a slightly sticky finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was a pretty nice example of the style. The flavor you expect are all there and they all work nicely together with one another. The spice may have been a touch heavy handed, but overall, it works.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub with a nice dark mahogany body that has copper hues and supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up some nice malty sweet dark roasted malts and caramel malts. The taste delivers a tasty degree of dark roasted malts, a dash of burnt malts and then a well restrained malty sweet backbone that’s mixed with some sweet caramel malts. Pretty nice stuff. The oatmeal only seems to lend minimal creaminess to the mouth feel.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub with a clear gold looking body that has some copper hues and supports an off white head of foam. The modest aroma offers up sweet citrus smelling gummy bears and slivers of roasted malts. The taste has a pleasing mix of sweet citrus gummy bear like hoppiness, some roasted malts and then bitter orange to clementine citrus hops with a resiny pine hops edge to it. This has nice balance and depth and this is something I can really enjoy drinking more of.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub with a nice pale gold opaque body that supports a near bright white head of foam. The modest aroma offers up banana, cloves, wheat and some malts. The taste delivers light banana and a spike of firm cloves mixed with a brief lemon zest citrus note. The smoothness increases to midway as the banana note builds into the finish. Nice hefe that’s got plenty going on.
