The vast and delicious cuisines of Central and South America hold a treasure trove of flavors, aromas and textures, much of which feels right at home in a well-made beer. We combine these ingredients and ideas with our own experiences to make subtle and deeply delicious beers, not mere novelty items. Each beer speaks with our voice and adds to the story. We put the best ingredients together so that the whole beer adds up to much more than the sum of its parts.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a weizen glass. Aroma is nice passionfruit, medium body, medium carbonation, and thin small-bubble lacing. Taste is nice passionfruit and hints of coriander. I could crush a bunch of these outside in the summer, If you like passion fruit you should try this.

Sample at Winking Lizard. Hazy bright yellow color with a medium white head that burns away steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. The aroma is fruity with notes of wheat and malt. Light-bodied with a pithy citrus character and notes of yeast and spice. The finish is fruity with a citrus and wheat aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Single bottle from Binny’s, bought in May. Poured in a tall lager glass. Pours with a big head that leaves some sudsy foam behind, iver a deeper yellow body than most. Smell is that warm nostalgic smell of the way your first beer tasted, maybe sipped in a bowling alley when dad wasn’t looking. Just a tad grainy and restrained in sweetness. Taste is a nice pilsener, or maybe more of a Dortmunder taste: dry malts with little sweetness, slightly prickly bubbles and a note of pepper from German (I believe) hops. A comforting reminder of how beer used to taste before we knew better.

12oz bottle. Unfiltered deep brown black body. Pretty steady rusty beige head. Cocoa, chocolate aroma. Sweet, sugary chocolate porter. Has some doughy, bakers chocolate. Nice flavors, but kind of sweet. Creamy, some Milk Stout tendencies. The wheat does indeed give it a milkshake texture, which isn’t really what I want in a beer...but is pretty tasty. A respectable enough offering from a unique brewery.

Sample at Daily Growler UA. Hazy Tang color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly to a sparse outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet fruit, wheat and peppers. Light-bodied with flavors of sweet citrus and melon, wheat and chili peppers. The finish is both sweet and spicy but not in a good way like Mango Magnifico. Average overall.

Draft at Standard Market. Clear orange color under a thin head. Nice grainy smell with just a bit of sweet fruit. Juniper is subtle, but up front on the palate as a sweeter version of hop resins. Taste is "just" different, with no pretext of being "extreme". Well-planned for an international collaboration.

Location: Draft at Publican, 7/2/14

Aroma: The aroma is wheaty and sweet, a good amount of fruit, and some spice
Appearance: It pours a hazed yellow color with a medium sized head
Flavor: The taste is much the same, very sweet, wheaty, dominating over some spice
Palate: The body is medium, it gets a little bit sticky, but has a decent mouthfeel overall
Overall Impression: This was an alright beer. It does what it is trying to do, and it doesn't have any major flaws, it is just a little too sweet for my tastes.
