Description
It all started with brothers Carl and Mark Nolen and Brewmaster Kirby Nelson. Three Wisconsin born-and-raised regular guys who share a passion for the Badger State - its friendly people, bountiful resources, rich brewing heritage - and the idea that drawing on all of the above is the key to creating some really awesome beer.
We started brewing in August of 2013, setting off a perpetual motion machine of new brew creations that show no sign of stopping. Our top brands include Badger Club Amber, Red Arrow American Pale Ale, Chocolate Lab Porter, Yankee Buzzard IPA, Beer Frame Pilsner, Betray Ale, S'Wheat Caroline, Patron Saint Oktoberfest, Porter Joe, Wiskator and Depth Charge Scotch Ale.
Come and enjoy a pint (or two) afterwards in our Tap Room or Backyard Bar. We have free, outdoor concerts every Friday night from May through September, and other fun events throughout the year. Our Brewery is kid and dog-friendly. We do not offer food service, but outside food is welcome.

Tap at Sidedoor. Hazy yellow tan body. Pretty clean and drinkable. Sweet, almost clove banana notes. Unfiltered. OK.

Tap at Trollfest. Filtered orange-tan body. Cheap grainy malts. Not impressive at all. Boozy and overbearing. Tastes like a 40oz.

Draft from GTMW notes. Deep clear brown color, thick tan head. Aroma has vanilla, burnt roasty caramel, whiskey. Taste is very malty vanilla with decent booze. Tasty.

Tap at Sidedoor. Filtered amber body. Respectable off-white head. Pretty straightforward Amber, maybe some cheap sixrow-ish or whatever malt backdrops. Cherry vanilla amber malts. Classic, 90s brewish, not really that great.

12oz bottle. Smell is harsh fuesel alcohol, rough and sugary, hint of onion, garlic. A pretty unappealing offering, rugged body despite the filtration. Really hot. Cheap, boring ingredients. Blandly hopped malt liquor. A chore to drink. Only for a tick. I would never order or buy this again.

Tap at Sidedoor. Filtered copper orangebody. Foamy, steady off-white head. Not quite a double IPA, but teetering on the brink. There is some piney classic West Coast hoppiness, but the malt is just sugary, sweet, too strong and heavy. Has little finesse, rugged alcohol tones. Not impressive, certainly not enjoyable. Malt Liquor..Eastern European cheap Pale Lager notes.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden orange with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is mild with grass and a hint of pine supported by light grains. Flavor has a bit of resinous pine but is quite mild with a touch of grass and a grain.

Bottle. Lightly lemon, yeast, malt and straw aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head and effervescence. Very lightly sweet lemon, malt, and straw flavor. Strange aftertaste - kind of tastes like hamburger. Light body.

Bottle. Milk, barley malt, and straw aroma. Golden yellow with giant off-white head. Sweet creamy barley malt and mildly bitter herbal hay flavor. Good body. Not bad - a decent Helles.
