$2.99 can from Gillys. Pours medium-dark brown with a large beige head. Aroma is roasted rye, coffee, chocolate, cola. Flavor is rye, some sort of sweet floral thing, coffee, chocolate. Nice flavor overall.

12oz can. Just hit stores recently. A a real DIPA, just how things used to be, and well made. Not a wannabe NEIPA. Sweet hops, doesn't taste like typical Citra to me, and low bitterness but present bitterness with the strong malt backbone that isn't caramel or tea. If you can make the hops not nasty and keep tea or caramel out of the malts then its wasy to make a good DIPA. Why doesn't everyone do that?

32oz growler pours a rootbeer brown with some white head. Nose has rootbeer, malt, some caramel. Flavor has malt, caramel, booze, witchhazel. Sticky finish.

16oz can. It's a dim hazy dirty beer. Mildly stick lacing as I drink it. They got the look right. Aroma is pretty good tropical fruit with some dry paper but no grass or aversive bitterness. Flavor again is similar in that it's very close to my idea of his style. Not all the way there. Hits the brakes a bit. Low bitterness. A. It too much du paper.

32 oz growler at the DC RateBeer tasting. Clear dark amber brown with beige head. Aromas of spice, cocoa. Tastes of spice, rye, cocoa, dark chocolate. Medium body with a dry finish. Decent.

From a 32oz growler at the January DC Ratebeer tasting. Poured a really dark brown color with a small tan head. Aroma was nice roasted malts, really nice sweet malts, vanilla, black malts. Rye spice notes are really light, but there. Creamy chocolate comes through. Roasted. Really nice and creamy.

32oz growler. Dark brown beer, almost black. Aroma is mild with some sweet vanilla oak, lightly acidic black malts, and toffee bordering on caramel. A light and silky aroma. Flavor has light the spice but more like intricate malt with alcohol syrup that's mild. Chocolate like syrup. Light. Some more barrel spirit comes off the nose as it warms and similarly is felt in the back of the throat. Surprisingly, mild and well melded. Looks like an accident for this brewery.
