Sampled from fancy bottle at sjogro’s. Clear golden with no head. Flowery, perfume, light rubbing alcohol, soft plastic, sugary, quite herbal, old wood. Medium sweet and surprisingly bitter. Full bodied with slick feel.

Bottle shared at home. Very pale blonde colour, no head. Sweet pure floral honey, alcohol, woody, roadside. Starts sweet, but the medicinal booze overpowers the honey aroma and leaves a stale bitter flavor on the tongue, then the sweetness catches up again. Big sweet, moderate bitter. Supple and thin, buttery feel, medium body and no carbonation.

flesjes gekocht bij de Wijhandelaar te Leeuwarden, Schrans, schenkt helder geel/gouden. aroma van honing, redelijk kruidig, iets scherp, floraal, licht zuurtje en alcohol. smaken zijn zacht, glad, zuurtje is aanwezig, iets floraals, honing, alcohol, redelijke body, redelijk zoet niet overdreven iig, alcoholische en licht zurige afdronk.

6 3 5 2 9Bottle shared at Sunday Brunch Bee Boost. Clear golden with no head. I can smell the alcohol when the glass is still on the table. Aside from the huge alcohol the brandy and oak notes come out along with floral honey and candy. Flavour is heavy sweet. Buttery and milky. Medium bodied with alcohol warmth and soft carbonation.

Bottle. Thanks to Alex. Vintage 2011. Pours a hazy yellow color with no head. Has a fruity floral spicy honey aroma. Sweetish spicy floral herbal honey flavor. Has a sweetish spicy herbal honey finish.

The color is a very pale shade of yellow; clean but there is a minimal sediment in the bottle. The aroma is mild, bordering the white wine, lightly floral, with some wax, some honey. Round mouthfeel; it’s quite sweet but lean, with neutral but elegant mead flavor, lightly woody and fruity; the final seems a bit short.
