Pour is a hazy brown with a large white head. Aroma is of rich earthy malt with a pretty suprising fresh hop presence. Flavor is pretty much on par with the aroma. Rich earthy British malt with a equally nice hops presence. Quite hoppy for an ESB but the malts and hops copliment each other well. Very soft mouthfeel and pretty solid and flavorful.

On tap at Burger Tap Shake at Washington Circle, pours a murky dark orange with some creamy, white head. Nose is OK, gristy, some bread crust, a little brown sugar, some yeast, a little vinous hop. Flavor is fine, a bit hoppier than a standard brown with some lemon and a little soap, but then mostly malt, a little whole wheat flour, bread crust, mild dough. Dry finish. Just OK.

Pour is a bright golden with a large white head. Aroma is a nice amount of spicy rye and earthy malt. Flavor is a lovely mix of British malts and a nice spicy rye. Finish is bready and earthy with a slight fruity hop bite. The rye really makes a appearance here and it really give you an eye opening pop with every swallow. This was a really nice beer and one of my new favorites from the Civil Life.

Pour is a hazy copper with a large white head. Aroma is a grainy, chewy malt. Flavor is again a dry malt with some caramel sweetness. Finish has a herbal hop to it along with some more dry biscuit like malt. Pretty decent beer. Mild flavors with a decent refreshing like quality. I would love to do a side by side with this and Anchor Steam.

Pour is a clear copper with a large white head. Aroma is a decent caramel with a clean grain. Flavor is more of a slight dark bread grain with a bit of caramel and toffee. Finish is a clean lager refreshing. This was a decent beer and something you could knock back a few of while relaxing outdoors.
