Bottle. Light sweet malt aroma. Light amber with a moderate, quickly dissipating white head. Light sweet (almost syrupy) malt flavor. Light body. Way too sweet for my taste.

Not sure if this one is in the right category, the bartender said it was the "Brown Ale". Pretty good stuff, very drinkable. Same weird aftertaste as the rest of the GC beers though.

12oz bottle courtesy of a friend. Poured a clear brown color, carbonation, with a small semi-off-white head. Aroma was heavy caramel malts, with a touch of spice character to it. Flavor was pretty much a spicy malt flavor, with a touch of caramel.

Not much going on here. I could just barely pick up the whiskey, and probably because I was looking for it. A thin Scottish ale with not a lot of flavor or aroma.

Aroma has hops and caramel, a scent that you know promises a sweet beer. And it is very sweet in the flavor, moderately well hopped. More on the sweet, malty side for an ipa. Low carbonation. One of Granite City’s better creations.

Draft at Granite City Madison. Filtered bronze-orange, large beige/off-white head. A little overly malt sweet, not much hop character to balance it out. Not really perfect certainly, but at least it’s not infected. Classic in a way, smooth and sessionable, doughy sweet finish. Highly acceptable considering the two free Brats and chips, and hugish 25oz pout for 3.35.
