A little cloudy. Not too bad on the flavor or aroma, citrus hop aroma, and mildly bitter hop flavor with malt sweetness in the flavor.

I liked this. It wasn’t spectacular, but good anyway. Moderate malt, some caramel. A little sweet.

Wichita location. Reddish amber color, served cold with no head. Light caramel aromas and flavors, clean, and moderately full palate. Fair.

Tap at No. KC brewpub. I asked for this one in a normal pint glass (rather than iced down), which they were happy to do. Straight forward IPA, though tasted to be pretty well made. Big hop aroma and taste, citrus / slight earth finish. Standard, but tasty.

Tap at No. KC brewpub. Its mentioned elsewhere, but this was served WAY too cold. They even ice down their pint glasses, so the glass and the beer freeze out all initial aroma and flavor. Once it warms, a bit of roasted malt in there, but not much else. After taste was not good, almost dirty sockish.

Pshaw. Light hop in the nose, slightly spicy and aromatic, but barely any malts. Initially has a bit of a citrus quality in the flavor, but eventually leads nowhere. A touch of bittering hops. Clean and light. Nicely golden in color, not too pale.

Wichita: I liked this the most out of the beers I tried. Aroma is of fresh citric hops, some grapefruit, more orange rind. Clean resiny citric flavor, malts are very mild, but it serves to order this one ahead and let it come to temperature. A bit pale color, a light gold color.

Wichita: No way this is a bock - it almost defines the style of American Dark! Garnet color, light on body and effervescence. Mild caramel aroma, with a touch of cocoa. Flavor much the same, with the malts lightly astringent leaving a sense of tartness, with a bitter finish that seems a bit too much compared to the weaker malt flavors.

Wichita location: Was OK - very typical of a standard brewpub nitro stout. Creamy to the point of watery. What did stand out was a smooth hint of smoke near the finish. So yea, it had a little more character than some nitro stouts. Brown black with a firm creamy nitro head.
