Shaker pint draft at Granite City Food and Brewery in Clive, Iowa. The pour is black brown with a small light tan head that leaves behind nice lace. The aroma is roast malt, clean citrus hops and a nice amount of pine. The taste is a nice blend between the roast, toast, caramel malt with the citrus and pine hops. The palate is medium bodied with active carbonation and a softly bitter dry mineral finish. Nice take on the style.

Draft/Fest. A- Malty. A- Mahogany color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Watery, creamy, malty. P- Light body, watery texture, flat carbonation, bland finish. O- Very tasteless. Somehow managed to be creamy and watery at the same time. Not pleasant.

O- Well, at least I finally knocked off Granite City. Not particularly good but what can you expect from a restaurant that casually brews beer as a chain. Okay.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a murky golden color with a medium sized foamy white head. The aroma was sweet with pine, lemon, orange and grapefruit. The flavor was bitter and sweet with lemon, pine and grapefruit. Long grapefruit finish. Medium body.
