Draft. Light hibiscus and creamy malt aroma. Hazy reddish amber with small head. Sweet-tart hibiscus and wheat malt flavor. Hibiscus comes out nicely - very pleasant.

tap - Pours black with no head. It smells of roast malt, alcohol, and resinous hops. The flavor is very bitter with dark roast malt, some citrus character, and the alcohol deceptively hidden. Roast and hop bitterness linger in the long finish of this full bodied brew. Very good.

tap - Pours hazy orange with a small lingering head. It has a mild aroma of spicy yeast and a hint of citrus. It tastes bitter and when cold mostly just that. Like so many beers more flavors come out as it warms with the spice and citrus. It’s not as crisp as I’d like. Fairly good overall.

Cask sample: Pours cloudy brown with a small, off-white head. Bitter nut, caramel scent. Taste is the same, with a stronger earth/nut bitter.....as the alcohol presents, it adds yet another layer of bitterness..... Very solid....really good.

Cask sample: Cloudy, yellow-amber with a small, off-white head. Peppery citrus aroma. Taste is tropical, grapefruit... Bright and peppery. Very nice and lively.

Draft: Black, with a heavy tan head. Roasty coffee, ash aroma....whiskey barrel. Flavour is base Diesel with a very well blended oak barrel/whiskey heat. Well done.

Draft: Pours cloudy, light brown with a short tan head. Tangy, sour aroma...citrus. Tart, caramel flavor overlayed by habanero peppers.... The way it blends creates a rather sour effect with not much chile heat..the base beer is excellent, but this addition didn’t work for me.

Draft: Pours black, rubied with a small, tan head. Aroma is coffee, grapefruit peel. Taste is coffee, bitter chocolate, pine/grapefruit. Creamy, with a citric lean to the background. Fairly strong alcohol presence ... Really good.

On draft at Twenty Tap in Indianapolis. Pours a dark cola with a tan head. Coffee nose. Flavors of coffee, chocolate and licorice. Medium bodied. Sweet roasted finish.
