Description
In the early 90’s our founder, Greg Skirboll, was a man with a dream. He dreamt of a place where good food and good people could come together without traditional culinary limitations and chain restaurant gimmicks. Where guests come to tailor their experience, making fond memories and leaving with happy, full stomachs. What started as a “burrito bus” food truck concept has luckily for us, evolved into his uncontrollably delicious Mexitaly movement! After years of working with the suits in “the real world”, Greg finally followed his dreams and combined his love of traditional Mexican cuisine and his initial experience of working in his mother’s Italian Restaurant to create something nobody had ever seen before. It’s no wonder that after a decade of serving York, Mexitaly has grown into a favorite local hangout. Serving food to satisfy even the pickiest foodie, creating highly rated craft brews on-premise, and hosting live musical talent, Mexitaly proves that dreams do come true; we would love to invite you here so yours can be fulfilled too!

Draft at source. Beautiful pink ruby red color but no head. Aroma is very fruity, lots of generic berry, and sourness. All of it is well melded and light and nicely put together. Flavor has a bit too much of a sour punch. After sampling the other 4 beers in my sampler and eating a seafood burrito with some nice homemade hot sauces its not so sour. But its not kettle soured and its not juice but an actual berry-centric light sour beer. In our current time, its an amazing accomplishment.

Draft at source. Held its head nicely for the duration. Still some surface lacing 30 mintues after pouring. Light amber orange clear color. It's a sweet saison but not an ester bomb like most bad US versions. Don't know what woodruff is but this isn't particularly herbal. Love that it is not estry but would want some more other yeast aspects and a little less sweet.

Draft at source. Best head and head retention of the sampler. Even 20 minutes after pour still completely surface covering and glass covering. Very dark brown that looks black. Aroma is sweet adjuncts, not sure what but smells like a Supermarket cookie. Too artificial and sweet smelling for me. Its a lighter body, feels a bit nitro but I don't think so. Flavor is less artificial and sweet. But still a gimmicky flavor. Light and big, which I can't taste, gimmick beer.

Draft at source. Head dies on this completely. Dark but clear brown. Aroma is earthy and clean caramel. Real nice mix of non-sugary sweet and a clean beer beneath that. Flavor hits you with that clean caramel and a well lagered clean aftertaste. A little slick mouthfeel parallels the structure of the beer.. An absolute beauty for this style.

Draft at source. Some surface covering lacing. A light hazy to the golden beer giving it medium clarity. Aroma is a dry paper biscuit with a second wave of the more traditional slightly sweet biscuit. That dry paper character may be a house flavor. Flavor is low sweet with light bitterness. Short finish that is lightly drying. Hops felt a bit but nothing l would call bitter. A little sweet dough sticks around. A light mineral quality and alight seltzer feel. Some drying herbal/noble character. Its mild and completely easy to drink.
