Draft at brewery. You'd think with a beer named like this it would be a saison. But that's just me. Cloudy pale, looks like a Gose. If you look hard the French lavender can be found in aroma. It's sort of a sweet soap. Lemon and tartness abound. Though the French baked soap is nice. Flavor is again overly tart where it overtakes the other aspects of the beer. Hard to say if it's salty or briney. I also would prefer coriander over lemon peel.

Bottle shared at Lucky Bamboo. Fig aromas with raisin and toasted caramel and toffee notes. Sweet on the palate, but some dried fig and prune as it warms. A bit too hot, but overall the profile is very British, just a bit too one-dimensional and too much booze.

Can shared at Zack's Epic Tasting. Pours a hazy straw gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Light tropical fruit aromas with strawberry and citrus zest. More pithy zest on the palate, drier than expected (which is a good thing) with some light strawberry skin notes. Prickly pineapple and dry, zesty finish.

Bottle shared at Kermis’ last THT. Pitch black with brown head. Huge huge coffee, bitter roast, molasses, thick malts, dark cocoa, milk chocolate, light grassy. Like concentrated sweet espresso. Quite sweet but also nice thick bitter. Full bodied. Great!
