Sampled at GABF on Saturday October 13, second sessionAs "Evil Genius - Trick or Treat Chocolate Porter". Should this really be listed as a Spice/Herb/Vegetable?Hazy dark brown color, tan head. Sweet, dry, smoke scent. Herbal, bitter taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium high bitterness.

12 ounce bottle. Hazy amber orange color. Rocky beige head. Fragrant citrus hop aroma. Toasted malt flavor with bitter citrus hops upfront. Palate is dominated by citrusy, peppery hops. Dry bitter hop finish.Overall, a typical IPA, but it lacks complexity.

Tap at the Fox and Hound, KOP, PA - 26/05/12. Pours a light amber colour with a slight chill haze and a thinnish white head. Nose is wheat, yeast and sweet mandarin. pinch of spice. Taste follows on but is not well balanced - meh ! Too sweet and orangey. Lightish bodied with a fair touch of carbonation. Not a great beer at all, left about 30% of my 16oz pour which is rare for me!

tap - Contract brew? Alright. This brew has a very mild, indistinct aroma. The flavor is sweet malt with a little caramel and bready and some mild hops bitterness. It’s light bodied and underwhelming.

Bottle. Light lemony malt aroma. Hazy yellow with no head. Bland grainy malt flavor with a slightly grassy citrus peel bitterness. Light body. The hops flavor in the finish was a little harsh.

Bottle. Pale yellow body with a fizzy, white head, rapidly diminishing. Anemic aroma of toasted grain, grass and a whiff of canned vegetables when you pop the bottle cap. the flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Light body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Crisp and clean, but mainly because it doesn’t have a lot of flavor. On the sweet side as it should be. Kolsch can be delicate, but the better ones have subtle flavors. This one doesn’t.

Bottle. Lemon and barley malt aroma. Medium yellow color with minimal head. Lightly sweet-tart lemon and barley malt flavor with a hint of hops in the finish. Medium body. Not bad - a decent Koelsch.
