Bright amber; strong, fruit extract aroma. The label is notably vague but I get blackberries, raspberries and maybe cherries. Toasty, bread crusty amber malts dominate the palate, forcing the syrupy fruit to the background, where it intermingles with woody hop bitterness. Subtle smoke notes show as it warms. I'm not comfortable with the discord between aroma and palate, nor am I happy that each seems unbalanced, albeit in opposite directions.

Bottled. Golden coloured. Interesting, strong fruit aroma: strawberries and black currant. Sweet and clean with notes of vanilla. No bitterness in a finish dominated by black currant.

Nut brown. Sweet and rather malty. Mild and somewhat peaty. Very soft with low bitterness and good balance. Lightly smokey finish.

A brown beer with a fine light brown head. The aroma is very slight but contains notes of sweetness, fruit and smoke. The flavor is sweet at first (not very stout'y), then it turns slightly smoked, and dry with fruit notes. It ends on a sweet bitterness. It's a nice beer, but not a stout in my universe.

Dark amber / copper colour. Nice head. Malty toffee aroma. Creamy, sweet-ish toffee flavour. Full-bodied. Not much bitterness.

Ruby color, creamy head. Nice malt aroma. Good body structure, pretty good malt, caramalt, very light roasted; not so common for commercial British bottles. Everything sustained by a pretty strong bitterness. Light pleasant fruity notes.

An orange beer with a fine head. The aroma is strong, sweet, fruity, wheaty with a hint of orange. The flavor is bubbly, with powerful wheat, yet without the sourness that malted wheat usually gives a beer. It is pretty sweet and with only a slight bitterness to balance it.

A dark amber beer with a good head. The aroma is slight with notes of fruit and smoked malt. The flavor is very soft and good with a light smoke note as well as some fruitiness. A nice beer.
