On tap at the Nook. Pours a clear, golden color, with a big, foamy, beige head. The aroma is resin, straw, celery, lavender, butterscotch, and light rye. Dry and musty, with a dank, sticky bitterness. Medium body, clingy, and dusty. Solid.

Taster at Das Stahl Bierhaus. Pours dark brown, with a small, foamy, beige head. Straight up oatmeal raisin cookie. Some cinnamon, pecans, and spruce. Fairly dry, with a touch of bitterness. Medium body, with a spritzy, dusty feel. Interesting and focused. Nice.

Can, shared by solidfunk. Pours dark brown. Biscuit, chocolate, Oreo, biscuit, grain, orange zest, real Oreo flavor. Medium body. Fine.

Taster at Liquor Express. Pours black, with a small, tan head. The aroma is dark chocolate, chicory, black cherry, and light espresso. Light and beautifully malty. Clean and tasty.

12 oz. can. A few months old. Pours a dark, clearer, ruby, brown color, with a medium, beige head. The aroma is roasted pecans, toffee, pine sap, pumpernickel, and brown sugar. Sweet and malty, with an acrid bitterness. Medium body, with a sticky, grainy palate. A solid brown ale, if a little rough and harsh.

Bottle shared by BVery, last of the evening. Black color of course. Bottle. Heavy roast on this beer. Aroma has burnt toast and malt. Flavor is a blend of sweetness from malt, but also grain that are heavily roasted. Good, thick palate.
