Phaleslu pouring bus. Deep brown appearance with a dark brown head. Big cocoa, dessert, whiskey aroma. Somewhat boozy but not horrible. Gobs of chocolate, caramel, coffee, and vanilla. Fairly bitter. Not all that sweet. Tame.

22oz bomber shared by Madbeerbaron. The pear sweetens it out, but it is subtle. Infected American Sour tones. Not overly impressive.

22 oz bottled received from my in-laws as a Christmas gift. The pour is a clear dark brown with a well formed tan head. Nice lacing left behind on the glass. The aroma is chocolate, cocoa powder, sweet malt along with a bit of roast. The taste is semi-sweet cocoa, nice gentle caramel roast malt, and finishes with more of the soft cocoa. The palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation, finish is the cocoa sweet and a bit of lingering bitterness. Nice execution of the concept, a much appreciated gift.

Bottle. Pours a near clear orangish yellow with a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has a note of grapefruit with a good amount of pine and grass and backing sweet citrus. Flavor starts with grass and pine backed by some sweet citrus and a nice wheat note coming through.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellowish gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a strong grain note with a touch of sweetness and just a bit of underlying jasmine. Flavor has a strong grain note throughout with a bit of jasmine and light fruit coming through in the finish.

Bottle. Pours a near clear dark brown with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice combination of rye, sweet maple and a bit of smokiness. Flavor starts with a rich sweet maple note that mellows slightly to allow a bit of rye and smoke.

12 oz bottle purchased at Lukas in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is slightly hazed golden yellow with a one inch white head that fell somewhat quickly with pops and crackles. The aroma is straw grass malt, along with a soft floral character and a general yeastiness. Fresh nose. The taste is grass floral jasmine right away, then turns to a synthetic sweetness, finishes with more of the jasmine floral dry. The palate is medium to light bodied, somewhat coarse carbonation and a lingering dry weird floral finish. Weird little beer, not really my sort of thing.

Bottle @ Exira Beer Summit IV, Day 3. Thanks to jcnielsen! Pours all head like fluid after slightly gushing. So çhïłł. Potpourri, slight lemon pepper, slightly grainy pils malty, light citrusy aroma. Flavor is floral, pretty dry, grassy/grainy malty, and lemony. Not horrible but certainly could use some work and the carbonation is just out of control.

Bottle @ Exira Beer Summit IV, Day 3. Thanks to jcnielsen! Pours a clear, light peach appearance with a little white head. Corn crib, dusty grainy, a bit twangy aroma. Tangy, a bit fruity, flour/husky grainy flavor. Not good.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of jcnielsen. Thanks Justin! Pours a bit hazy, golden yellow appearance with a fluffy, off white head. Quite spicy, potpourri floral hoppy, a bit zippy citrusy, chewy wheat aroma. Spicy yeasty, lemon pepper, big potpourri hoppy, orange zest flavor. Pretty good but definitely not a 100th percentile wheat ale.
