Bottle from a friend. Many thanks Peter B. Hazy golden color with huge white head. Malt, some fruits, hops in aroma. Taste, malt, citrus hops, some fruits. Light hoppy finish. Good one.

Bottled 500ml. -Courtesy of and shared with Marko (thanks!). Nice amber coloured, medium to big sized pale beige head, caramel and mild hops in the nose. Sweet malty, light caramel and mild spicy with hint bitter hoppy notes in the finish. Like Svijetlo also slightly watery but there’s enough time for improve.

Bottled 500ml. -Courtesy of and shared with Marko (thanks!). Hazy yellow/golden coloured, small to medium sized white head, grassy hoppy nose. Malty, grassy hoppy and mild fruity with slightly too watery finish. Pleasant but could be even better.

Rerate (2016:)I’d kept the ratings from the best bottles I’ve tasted for the three main Servolo beers, not wanting to diss a brewery that dared enter a market that was heavily stagnating at that point. Tried them several times since and never, ever got near the same quality or it was a hit&miss thing with far more misses. Had the chance to rerate all in a blind tasting that included others. Now rerating. What’s fair is fair. Somewhat clear orange-amber body. Big maltiness in the aroma, light peach, light alcohol. Malty flavors, creamy, caramel-like, completely battered and ruined by buttery diacetyl and a disguesting, heavy yeasty meaty finish. Refermenting does nothing positive for these beers. 4/4/4/2/8. I’m averaging the score between these two now to be more fair than I should be... Rate (2014):Gain, Milić ftw! Anyway, poured a lovely hazy copper-a,ber body with an off white head that fell apart sooner than expected. Yeasty nose, showing, as expected, similar characteristics as the pale’s, light melon, yeastiness, some spice... oily. The taste is, however, slightly empty, some perfumely maltiness, a touch of caramel, light beet, ending in a light dry finish with a very very light herbal bitter hoppy touch. Not a bad beer as such, but it seems to me that the refermentation in the bottle just overattenuates the lager and isn’t the optimal treatment for it. But hey, this is a positive appearance on the Croatian market, so I won’t criticize it as much as I would otherwise I guess. 6/4/6/3/13

Misty yellow-golden body. Strong aroma of butter and cabbage, sourish. Sweetish, empty taste completely dominated by diacetyl. Even worse than the last few times I’ve had it - when it was just a yeast bomb. 3/3/3/2/6. I’m averaging the score between these two now to be more fair than I should be - and in this case, to accidentally reflect its standard "yeast-driven" self better. Rate (2014):First off, huge thanks to the one and only Milić for bringing this all the was from Buje (yaaay!). This is a new setup -> the guys brewing it don’t have a web page, not even an e-mail address, and they just serve this in a pub in Buje and a pub in Rovinj if I’m not mistaken. What they apparently have is, however, special glasses and a special pouring ritual, which is quite cute, but... hm. The beer comes in former fliptop bottles that just got a regular cap on top of them. Which is cute again. Well, all that aside, it’s brilliant to try a new beer from a new Croatian micro. An unfiltered lager refermented in the bottle. But is it any good?Yeah, better than the competition. Poured a misty yellow-golden body, seems overcarbonated (wonder how it would’ve ended up without refermentation), fizzy even, the head was gone fast though. Hm. Watermelon, melon, slick maltiness in the fresh aroma. The taste is however quite dry, slightly overatennuated, bitter, ashy, papery, with very light lemon. All in all, not a bad beer at all, you can see a touch of craft that just about everything available in said area lacks, so it’s a plus, and I’d be glad to see a wider release of that, without the seemingly excessive price maybe, but still... Worth trying, but unfortunately, due to price and distribution restraints, it’ll take awhile before it becomes anyone’s go-to beer. 7/3/7/3/13

Bottled, 0.50l. Lightly hazy, but deep golden color with large frothy white head and tiny lively bubbles. Aroma of honey, malt, yeast, grassy hops and with some floral notes. Taste starts with relatively rich and sweet malt, followed by yeasty undertones and honey-like sweetness. Finish is still malty, while aftertaste is medium and very pleasant bitter. Medium body, slick texture and soft natural carbonation. Very refreshing and great addition on Croatian Beer map...
