**Note: The typos in the commercial description were Growlers not mine.

Location: Tap from the Brew Pub in Old town Gaithersburg, 5/15/09

Aroma: Some earthy tones and a little spice
Appearance: Dark orange hazy color
Flavor: A bit "off"...spice is dominant, something didn;t exactly work here
Palate: Body is medium, and the mouthfeel is decent
Overall Impression: Going in I thought I'd like this one, maybe it was just a bad batch, but something in the taste didn't quite work...

Aroma: Citrus nose
Appearance: Slightly cloudy yellow color
Flavor: Similar to the nose but with a little spice
Palate: Lightish body
Overall Impression: An OK but not terribly exciting example of the cream ale style.

Overall Impression: I’m not a huge Kolsch fan, but I always enjoyed this one. Thought it was pretty good for the style...

Overall Impression: I use to visit this place semi-regularly after work when I was working at a place just down the street, and usually went for this beer as my choice.

Overall Impression: I haven't had this one in a while, but I remember it being just OK, and not much more then that.

D'Rail Lite Ale from Growlers

Aroma: Light fruits
Appearance: Light golden color
Flavor: Nice fruity malts, smooth and drinkable
Palate: Light bodied, crisp and refreshing
Overall Impression: This was pretty darn good for a light ale, a nice amount of malty flavor for this style, and a nice crispness. A good summer beer for a hot afternoon at the Outdoor bar.

Broken Shovel Stout from Growlers

Location: Tap from the Brew Pub in Old town Gaithersburg, 5/15/09

Aroma: Coffee, chocolate, nutty, slight spice
Appearance: Dark brown color
Flavor: Relatively sweet, but has touch of bitterness
Palate: Medium to full body, nice mouthfeel
Overall Impression: This was a pretty nice stout, on the lighter side for this style, but tasty and highly drinkable

Aroma: Completely dominated by the fruit, raspberry obviously
Appearance: Light yellow color
Flavor: Really sweet
Palate: Light, mild
Overall Impression: This one was way too fruity for me, I would say it was more of a fruit beer then a Kolsch, as it was completely dominated by the fruit.
