Hazy golden color. Fragerant banana bubblegum nose. Clovey, banana loaded mouth. Surprisingly full-bodied for 4.0% ABV. Like Kamiya’s other beers, above average, but not that will blow me out of the water.

Deep golden color. Toasted barely nose. Soft fruity nose of bananas and peaches, which was a bit odd I thought. Soft mouthfeel, slightly winey with bananas and toasted malt and a nice toasted malt finish. I think it was aiming for a Dort, but it seem to have some odd, though not unpleasent, other characteristics.

It was odd that they have an Ocktoberfest and a Marzen. The Ocktoberfest was clearly a seasonal, this one I am not so sure. I found this clear deep amber brew was similar to the Ocktoberfest, but better malty flavors and the finish was not so dry. Went excellent with caramelized onions!

Cloudy light amber color. Some hops are noticable at first, but as beer warms up bready and caramel notes become more present. Kicks off with a deep bready malty and caramel mouth, but balanced with some hop bitterness in mouth. Very light bodied. Dry bready caramel finish. Beer definetely got better as time went on.

Very dark brown color. Big toffee, milk chocolate nose. Smooth, milk chocolate, hazelnut, toffee mouth and a milk chocolatey finish. Probably the best Christmas beer in Japan

Bottled. Cloudy pale orange, near no head. There’s a tart citric edge in the aroma that is disturbing, but beneath that it is a fine beer. It’s fairly well hopped with rich malt character and clean, rounded mouthfeel. I wish I could’ve tasted this brewery fresh.

Muddy chestnut colour. A little bit nutty, malty in the aroma and flavour. A slight clean lactic tang in the finish. Fairly full body for style. Way too funky.

Not sure about this one. On one hand, it was pretty tart and bottle-conditioned. I’m not a fan of bottle-conditioning lighter styles because they pick up infection really quickly. But I can’t guarantee that’s what this was. It was a very clean tartness, no gusher, full body, no excessive carbonation. And it didn’t inhibit the drinkability of the beer, either. It was a lot like some of those French microbrews that always have this character (apparently intended).

Doughy, slightly spicy aroma with a hint of banana. Fairly yeasty, tart, with hints of bready malt.

The aroma is very sweet and wheaty. The color is an unclear amber and it has a fine beige head though disappearing. The flavor is very sweet malty with hints of roast, but then the sweetness comes back with notes of oranges and fruit before it ends on a slightly bitter fruity (lemon) note.

The aroma is fresh malty with notes of straws. The color is an unclear light yellow and it has a fine but collapsing head. The flavor is malty sweet with a very dry hoppy end.
