mahogany cloudy. Creamy white head. A lot of torrified wheat, like puffed wheat with some dark chocolate nose. Very unsweet. Very odd for an eisbock but pretty decent. Very light body for an eisbock not sweet. So well integrated smooth and alcohol well hidden. A bit too clean but wow this is drinkable. Seriously like 4.5%. Too clean too lacking booze is the main problem thought not really a problem. Clean finish with chocolate torrified wheat.

Bottle. Nose of caramel, esters, chocolate, popcorn, toast. Pretty reddish orabge-brown, cloudy, with lace. Smooth and silky, with nice malts and decent richness. Raisins as well as stone fruits. Very clean, though. Doesn’t really kick enough for an eisbock. More like a doppelbock with a bit more thickness. I like it, but could be better.

Thanks Davidjpisano for sharing the bottle! Poured into a taster showing highly filtered copper brown with half a finger of light white foam. The nose shows a lot of light caramel malts. The palate is moderately carbonated and light bodied. A slight to moderate sugar cane sweetness throughout with a slight oak finish and light bitterness on the finish.

Thanks David for sharing the bottles. Hazy caramel brown with a half finger of head. Lager yeast nose with cake, prune and caramel aromas. Not overly sweet on the palate, a little dry actually. Has a fairly dry and dark fruit finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Eisbock on 23 Jan 2016 at 22:56 - Score: 7. Original review text: Thanks David!

Hazy golden color. Very malty nose with faint hints of citrus. Pretty subdued. Very smooth mouth with lots of citrus and dare I say lemon notes. Very nice mouth feel. Nice lemon finish. Not too sweet. Pleasent.

Thanks TimE for sharing the bottle! Poured into a tulip taster showing almost opaque yellow with sparse white foam around the edges. The nose shows moderately sweet round malts. The palate is light bodied and moderately carbonated. Very strong notes of lemon drops on the beginning, mid palate shows more malty sweet notes rounded out by the lemon drop flavors, and a light tartness on the finish.

hazy Amber color. Frothy white head. Beautiful bready malty, noble hops nose. The body is a bit unbalanced and not that deep. Still overall ok.

Bottle. Pours pale, looks thin and watery. Aroma has some bread, quite faint. Taste has some weak bittering hops, fruity and sweet. Actually not too bad, can imagine that this could be good from a larger glass. Aftertaste a bit soapy for some reason. Simple pils.

Tap at yakisoba street in Fujinomiya. Pours hazy, yellow, nice frothy head that leaves beautiful lacing. Aroma is weak, clean wheat aroma. Some banana, sour notes. Taste is good, banana, cloves, wheat. Well done, nice from tap. Goes well with yakisoba :)

Tap at GCC. first we were told with was an ale, then a bock. Tasted like some kind of English ale. Pale orange-amber with a thin head. Fruit, citrus nose. Sweet, fruity flavor, citrus, tropical fruits. Ale-like but not really sure. Enjoyable.
