On tap during the anniversary. Pours with a hazed bronze body with a huge, tan to off-white head that lasts for the full duration. Aromas are fruity with notes of wine, barrel, rich alcohol, ripe fruits, plum, caramel, brandy, tannins, and dark fruits. Flavors of rich dark fruits, cherry, plums, red wine and brown sugar. So rich! Medium bubbles. Very tasty!
2012 version shows more tannin and alcohol. Rich dark fruits, lightly waxy, lots of barrel and some brett. Good.

On tap at the source. Pours with a black body and a tan head. Aromas of brown sugar, fudge, smoke, vanilla, licorice, and coffee. Flavors of roast, coffee, sweet, and caramel. Bitter, yet rich. Like a slightly less hoppy fresh Yeti. Very nicely balanced, with a pronounced american hop note. Creamy, and velvety.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours with a hazed deep amber-copper body with a tan head that lasts. Aromas of dark fruits, plums, yeast, brandy, caramel, raisins, cherry, and toffee. Flavors of plums, bitter, toffee, raisins, marmalade, alcohol and fruity esters. Big alcohol on the finish. Big but not heavy. A bit of lingering bitterness. Canβt wait for the barrel aged version.

On tap at their anniversary. Pours with a cloudy golden body with a white head. Aromas of oak, tropical fruit, grass, freshly cut papaya, grainy, candi sugar, and white wine. Flavors of chardonnay, candi sugar, sweet and oaky with phenolics (coriander sticks out). Tasty. Dry, lively and tannic. Very well done.

On tap (Cabernet Barrel). Finally. This is the first batch brewed at the brewpub (aged in cabernet barrels). Finally it is released, and well worth the wait. Pours with a bright and brilliantly clear amber-red body with a small off-white head. Aromas of wood, funk, bright cherries, intense sour, lacto, intense, bright, complex, honeysuckle, wet leaves, fruit and sour. Flavors are completely mouthpuckering, wine, currant, cherry, intense funk and fruit, leather and insanely complex. Fruity and wine like more than acetic, although there is some of that in the acidity! Truly amazing and worth waiting for! My only complaint is that it is a bit light on carbonation during their anniversary week. The beer is dry, with a complex finish and a huge duration. A bit acetic. Delicious! Easily stands up to any of the beers that I had at Russian River the day before. Much more a fruited pLambic than a flemish red.

On cask. Pours with a hazy light yellow body with a large, foamy white head. Aroma of fennel, coriander, estery, with a decent amount of heat and a bit of black pepper. Decently big burn on the flavor, a bit of corn bread, cooked fennel, and black pepper. One of the best "burn" beers that I have had (all though that comment doesnβt mean much). Dry and burning. I like it, but I could probably only get through 3 or 4 ozs enjoyably.

On cask. Pours with a hazed deep orange body and a large, foamy off-white head. Aromas of candied fruits, juniper, gin, allspice, belgian esters and candied orange peel. Flavors of juniper, candied sugar, clove, estery yeast and some pepper. Light bubbles. Cask like mouthfeel and carbonation. Bitter-sweet curacao orange on the finish.

On cask at the brewpub. Pours with a hazed deep brown body and a huge foamy off-white head. Aromas of smoke, peaty scotch (Lagavulin like), bbq and caramel. Flavors of ash, wood, charcoal, smoke, campfire and caramel. Seems quite a bit drier than the regular version. Some carbonation but still a bit thin on the palate. Drier than the usual. Iβm not the biggest fan of smoke, but this was pulled off well.

Nitro tap at the brewpub. Pours with a clear deep brown body with a milky off-white head. Classic nitro pour. Aromas of brown sugar, caramel, molasses, smoke, dark fruits and a cracker like graininess. Both flavor and aroma are somewhat muted by the nitro. Flavors are very smooth: oats/cereal, smoke, dark fruits and a light (but strong for the style) bitterness. Smooth and very creamy mouthfeel.
