Keg at the Library Alehouse, Santa Monica, 16/04/14. Hazed pale blonde with a moderate white covering that retains well. Nose is on the thin side, citric peel, light orange, straw, hint of spice. Taste comprises lemon rind, straw, corriander, spice, bitter orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok Belgian offering, drinkable stuff but nothing to excite the palate.

On tap at the Stone 17th anniversary festival. A hazy, pale yellow beer with a white head. Pale malts, lemon notes, a generic fruityness and a faint spiced peppery touch in the aroma. Medium body, dry, nice carbonation. Nice bitterness. Tasteful flavor with pale malts, some fruityness and a spiced, peppery hint. Better than the score indicates, but it would be unfair rising any of them. 130817

On tap at Beachwood as a "Dark Sour". This one does have some infection going on, but I don’t think that was Dave’s intent (at least according to Ladyface’s press around this beer). Pours with a hazy brown body and a tan head. Aromas are earthy cocoa nubs, vinous, damp leaves, chocolate and acetic acid. Flavors are very earthy, dusty, nutty, barrel. Medium roast, lightly sour, medium chocolate. Medium carbonation, hugely vinous.
