Bottle: Dark brown color with a modest beige head. Potently sweet nose filled with sugars and molasses. More in the taste. Lots of sugary sweetness, malts… approaching cloyingly sweet. Some burnt sugars help, but holy hell this is a sweet mess. I don’t know if this is McCall’s first bottled offering, but it doesn’t reach the bar they’ve set at the pub. I will certainly revisit this cause I know these guys make better beer.

Bomber. Aroma is as described, ginger and lemon; I also get a cheesiness that I’m not totally sure was intentional or not. It’s also pretty floral. Pours hazy orange with a fast collapsing off-white head. Taste is ginger, lemon, bread. It’s mostly (lightly) sweet but it has a touch of sour and some light bitterness in the finish. The ginger contributes some welcome spiciness. Body is fairly thin, but it should be, carbonation is fine. Nice fruity wheat ale.

22oz Bottle, hazy light yellow with a full white head. Standard hef aroma with just a hint of citrus and ginger. Mild wheat flavor, again, barely a trace of the other flavors. Nice a crisp and pleasant.
