Description
Holy Mountain is a brewery and taproom located in the Interbay neighborhood of Seattle, founded by co-owners Colin Lenfesty and Mike Murphy in 2014. The influence of oak has always been the focus of the majority of beers brewed at Holy Mountain. A sizable building near the Seattle waterfront has allowed the team to build a vast stock of oak barrels, puncheons, and foudres used for both primary fermentation as well as long-term aging.
The proximity of the brewery to the Yakima Valley also allows the team of brewers to utilize hops from the best producers in the world, constantly exploring the relationship between hops, oak, and mixed fermentation. Holy Mountain doesn't offer any year-round beers, which creates an ever-changing lineup in the brewery taproom. In addition to oak-influenced beers, Holy Mountain also offers a wide range of rotating, hop-forward ales and lagers.

On tap at Holy Mountain - Phinney Ridge, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has an evocative mix of tangy hops, tropical fruits, pine, and a touch of citrus. Flavour is assertive and beautifully balanced, with bright piney hop bitterness, melon, citrus, and crisp biscuity malt. Impeccably hopped and flawlessly structured. This is an incredible WCIPA.

On tap at Ridgewood, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma has bright piney hops, some light gooseberry, a touch of allium, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour has some allium, tropical fruity hops, and crisp crackery malt. Good hop expression other than the Citra but solidly made.

Aroma: American oak, toasted barrel, espresso, thick.
Taste: along the same lines, thicker and sweeter than other variant. At the same time, nice incorporation of American oak, toasted barrel notes and espresso. Consumed cold, maybe that's a key for this.
Overall: good one.

TCBW2024. Black colour, small brown head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is liquorice, some biscuits, lactose and roasted tones with chocolaty and mild toffeeish tones too. Flavour is quite much following the same pattern, but does show a little bit of alcohol as well.
