Description
Established in 1995, Stewart’s Brewing Company is New Castle County’s first brewpub; a 150 seat full service restaurant with a 30 seat full service bar. Newly renovated to celebrate our 20th anniversary, Stewart’s blends the classic American pub with our brewery and flare for exotic food. We feature a wide array of classic gastro-pub fare, wild game and continental cuisine. Full menu is available from 11am until closing every day. Families are welcome. Our medal award winning brewery is second to none in the First State. Beer starts with six full time ales and adds over 40 rotating seasonal brews to keep things interesting all year. We brew American, German, English, and Belgian style ales and lagers. Stewart’s atmosphere is casual with plenty of televisions to watch the big game. English style darts and NTN trivia to test your wits. It is our goal to provide the best hand crafted beer, fresh food, and impeccable service.

Draft at the source, 2011 version. Hazy amber color, thin off white head. Aroma of creme brulee. Taste is sweet and intense caramel with a burnt edge. Not bad, but could use a bit more balance.

Draft at the source. Deep, clear amber color, medium tan head. Aroma of lightly spiced butterscotch. Taste is ash try and butterscotch. Weird.

Draft. Bright clear yellow, thin white head, scant lacing. Aroma of white pepper, straw. Taste is bitter hay. Very plain, not much maltiness.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a dark clear ruby red color with a medium tan head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of toffee, berries and smoke. The taste is rich malty notes, raisins, smoke, bitter roasted malts, berries and a faint alcohol note. Medium-full bodied. Nice beer.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours nearly black with a medium creamy brown head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of chocolate, caramel and roasted malts. The taste is bitter roasted malts, chocolate, mild hoppy notes and a lactic finish. Medium bodied.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear dark ruby color with a thin head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of berry-like fruits and toffee. The taste is big toffee notes, berries, citrus, caramel and some toastiness. Medium-full bodied. Nice.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a mostly clear reddish amber color with a medium sized offwhite head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of big grapefruit and lemon hop notes. The taste is bit citrus, pineapple and mango hops with a resiny finish. Lingering bitterness. Decent, but could use a bit more balance.

Served on nitro at the brewpub. Pours a very dark brown color with a large brown head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of bitter roasted malts, chocolate and a clay-like note. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, lactic notes, tart cherries. Medium bodied.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear brownish red color with a large creamy head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of toasted malts and caramel. The taste is toasted malts, caramel, tart fruity notes, nuts, a faint bit of chocolate, and leafy hops. Thin medium bodied. Nice beer. Especially at that ABV.
