Bottle. Sweet complex aroma - banana, peach and clove. Pale yellow color - cloudy. Peach/apple and clove flavor up front. Nice body. A very nice witbier.

De Ridder has been closed - this hails from some Heineken megaplant Very pale, straw coloured "beer"; initially high, snowwhite head, retreating to 2 cm but retaining the consistency of whipped eggwhite. Faint coriander and wheat nose. Quite sweet taste, coriander being the only extra aroma. Not refreshing at all, some filling from the wheat. Exactly as expected: hopeless.

A hazy orange beer with a white head. The aroma is dominated by wheat on a sour background and so is the flavor. Not the best Wit I’ve had.

Aha! What have we here but a Belgian Wit from - Holland? Ok. Ummm. Not really sure what to think going into this. I have never heard of it. My expectations were not real high as I have seen multiple examples recently of people ruining the wit style. Well, at least the bottle was reasonably pretty in a simple style. I sampled this one from the 12 oz bottle from which the beer poured a cloudy light golden color. Not bad color. Nice cloudiness. No floaters though. No head either - which worried me. The scent had strong citrus notes and a light wheat undertone. The flavor was strong with lemon, light with wheat, and finished with an interesting spicy note. Surprisingly I found this to be a pretty darn good wit. I will have to see about having it again.

A very light yellow beer with a fine white head. The aroma is sour - sour from wheat and sour from hops to try to cover the lack of alcohol - the only other thing in the aroma than sourness is some hints of lemon. The flavor is like water with a slice of lemon put in - it must be carbonated water since it feels fizzy in the mouth.

Blond color; poor head. Aroma of citrus fruits and spices, but rotten. Dry, poor, rotten, too bitter, metallic. Disgusting.

Golden/yellow, lightly hazy, small white head. Smells yeasty, some sweet malt tones, but not too much citrus/clove/banana on the nose. The beer, as well, has relatively less spice than most wits. Some light citrus, touch of bubble gum esters, maybe some sweet banana mixed in with malt and yeast at the very end. Mostly light, quite spritzy. Decent wheat flavor at the end.

Light orange, looks like grapefruit juice. Head started big but disappeared quickly. A light wheat, similar to a blue moon with less aroma.
