Sampled @ Craftbier Messe Mainz 2016. Trübes dunkel goldenes Bier mit mittelgroßen weißen schaumkrone. Geruch angenehm hopfig, fruchtig, leicht grasig. Geschmack angenehm bitter hopfig, grasig, süffig, okay.

From old tasting notes. Orange gold liquid with a tan creamy head. Light toasted malt aroma. Sweet caramel-like malt flavor is heavy and rich. A real chewy mouthfeel. Bittersweet malty finish. Hearty and flavorful.

Sampled from 0.5 l bottle from local ’Dursty’, best before November 2017. Clear, golden yellow with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, grainy and minimally grassy aroma of grains and hints of straw. Sweetish, rather grainy and minimally grassy taste of lots of grains, some cardboard and hints of straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a little grassy and fairly metallic finish. Thin to medium body, a bit effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not that nice, very bland, still drinkable.
