Bottle split at RB Best Encomium share, Santa Rosa, 30/01/16 - Many Thanks ! Clear golden blonde with a moderate off white head. Nose is pale malts, straw, vanilla, hint of butter. Taste comprises orange peel, buttery, toasted grains, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Mediocre ... comes across like a semi bollocksed gold ... buttery !

On tap at Diving Dog, pours a dark reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma is fairly light for an impie, with moderate toasted malt, not a whole lot else. Flavour is along the same lines, but with a rather neutered palate. Light and watery for the style. Needs more oomph and complete restructuring.

Bottle split at RB Best awards dinner, thanks, 30/01/16. Black with a respectable tan cap. Nose is chocolate, vanilla, spic, toffee, dark fruit rinds. Taste comprises chocolate cake, vanilla whisper, mellow roast, spice, fruit rinds, modest barrel. Medium + body, fine carbonation, bourbonic rinse at the curtain call. Serviceable BA impy but not from the top draw.

Tap. Pours clear radish hazel, small beige head, bubbly with some lacing. Aroma is malty, roasty, coffee, ashtray, hints of grass. Flavor is light plus sweet, very light bitter. Medium body.

Tap. Pours lightly hazy golden orange, medium creamy white head, long lasting with good lacing. Aroma is pretty buttery, pine resin, grapefruit, aspirin. Flavors is pretty sweet, really bitter, harsh buttery pine sap. Medium body, heavy lingering bitterness. Holy hell.
