Draft at Vinarna Hrozen at RBESG ... Hazy yellow ... bread and wheat ... fruity little bubblegum ... juicy and citrus.

Draft at Vinarna Hrozen at RBESG. An unclear golden beer with a lazing cream colored head. The aroma is sweet matly with notes of straw and hops as well as light notes of yeast. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of both malt, straw, and hay as well as lighter notes of yeast and honey, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Draught at Vinarna Hrozen, Plzen.
The second beer of the Vinarna Hrozen tasting at the RBESG 2008. For me the best of 11 beers tasted at Hrozen.
Poured a light hazy golden coloured with small white head and strange meat nose (the kitchen was close to our table, so maybe...). Pleasant wheaty, light malty, nice hoppy and bready taste with mild bitterness in the finish.

Beer no.2 of the Vinarna Hrozen tasting at the RBESG I really didn’t like this one. Poured a murky darker ochre colour with a medium-small head that went away fast. Nose? Meat. Taste? Meat and some bread, a bit eggy with some light hopiness and a bitterish aftertaste. Seemed to me like this was a love/hate beer. I’m unfortunately among the haters.

Draught at Vinarna Hrozen, Pilsen. Cloudy golden, creamy head. Oily orangey aroma with some butterscotch. Medium bodied with soft mouthfeel. More lager-like than weizen-like, but the wheat malt character is definitely there. It also has good late bitterness. Something completely unexpected, but once I realized it wasn’t really hefeweizen I could not stop enjoying the rich character.
