Description
Founded in 1650 by Heinrich de Lapière, the Autenried Schlossbrauerei (castle brewery) was owned by the nobility until 1912. The family tradition begins in 1912 when Alois Rudolph bought the brewery. In 1964 Alois Rudolph handed over the business to his nephew Leonhard Feuchtmayr. Rudolf Feuchtmayr has been running the Autenried Schlossbrauerei since 1993. With their son Peter Feuchtmayr, the family brewing tradition continues into the youngest generation to this day.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It’s a clear, dark amber beer with a small, off-whtie head. The aroma is quite roasted, with a touch of dried fruits and black pepper. Sweet flavor with roasted malts and some dried fruits. A little bitterness too. Bready finish with toffee and roasted malts. Medium body, pleasant carbonation. A quite nice dunkel that I could drink a few of in the cold months. 110416

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It’s a clear, yellowish pale golden beer with a small, white head. Lemony nose, well, more lemonade than lemon. Some hops and pils shining through. Medium to thin on the palate, rather soapy. Lemony flavor. Far from my favorite radler, but it goes down somehow. 110415
