bottle from biershop-bayern.de. Clear, deep brown colour, large beige head. Malty nose. Full-bodied, smooth carbonation, flavours of roasted malts, caramel, chocolate, raisins. The alcohol is well hidden. Delicious Doppelbock!

Bottle 500ml. @ home.Hazy - murky medium grey amber color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is light malty, caramel, wheat, moderate yeasty, light fruity banana. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light light bitter with a average to long duration, caramel. Body is medium, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft. [20110326]

Moderately sweet malty aroma with bready notes and a herbal, also slightly woody hoppy touch. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Slightly bready (cara-)malty taste with herbal accents; sweet-bitter malt-accented finish with a rounded, slightly woody hoppy touch. Nice. 16.III.11

Bottled. Deep ambery brown colour with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, some mild raisins, mildly wooden notes as well as some slight alcohol. Flavour is caramel and bready malts along with raisins, mild stinging alcohol as well as some slight earthy notes. Quite pleasantly balanced Doppelbock.

Bottled. Amber colour, mediumsized yellowish beige head. Aroma is strong maltyness, mild skunky notes as well as some slight dark dry fruits and mild toasted and ashy notes. Flavour is being rather much the same along with some slight wooden and toffeeish notes as well. Quie pleasant.

Bottled. Yellowish golden colour, small white creamy head that leaves some lace. Aroma is bready malts, mild saltwatery notes, quite grassy hoppe as well as some slight herbal notes. Flavour is sweet malts along with grassy and floral bitterness along with some herbal notes. Quite pleasantly balanced.
