Description
Offering unique hop-forward ales, crisp lagers, barrel-aged rarities and one of the Northwest’s most extensive wild & sour programs, Block 15 produces a range of artfully crafted beers, brewed with a nod toward fresh ingredients and fresh thinking.

We began serving up fine beer and food at our downtown Corvallis brewpub in 2008, and have since opened up a European-style pub—Caves Bier & Kitchen—as well as the Block 15 Brewery & Tap Room in south Corvallis. We are proud to have remained brewer-owned from day one.

Our 20bbl production brewery, built in 2015 and located in the shadow of the coastal range in south Corvallis, is the workhorse of our brewing operations. In addition to an increased-capacity brewhouse, our production brewery houses custom-designed Uni-tanks, a custom-fabricated mixing tank, a Meheen bottling line, and a Wild Goose canning line.

On tap at Block 15 Restaurant, pours a clear pale yellow blonde with a small white head. Aroma is clean, with some grass, herbal notes, and straw — prettt macro lagery. Flavour is clean, with straw, very mild hoppy bitterness, and biscuity malt. Clean and easy. It's fine for what it is.

On tap at Block 15 Restaurant, pours a cloudy yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out plenty of clove, light citrus, orange and soft whispy wheat. Flavour is very soft, with whispy wheat and not much else — not much coriander or citrus. It's fine but nothing special.

473mL can, pours a clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma has spicy hops from the Simcoe, piney hops, and sweet biscuity malt. Flavour is loaded with spicy, piney hops, tons of oily resins, and just enough biscuity malt to back. Quite bitter, with an oily mouthfeel. Excellent as usual from these guys.

On tap at Pine Box, pours a minimally hazy golden with a medium white head. Aroma is wonderful, bringing out potent but soft piney hops, some resinous notes, and soft bready malt. Flavour is much the same, with potent piney and resinous hops in silky smooth fashion, and just enough soft malt to balance. Combines the best of Sticky Hands and Vortex, though isn't quite as good as Sticky Hands. Excellent.
