Description
Offering unique hop-forward ales, crisp lagers, barrel-aged rarities and one of the Northwest’s most extensive wild & sour programs, Block 15 produces a range of artfully crafted beers, brewed with a nod toward fresh ingredients and fresh thinking.
We began serving up fine beer and food at our downtown Corvallis brewpub in 2008, and have since opened up a European-style pub—Caves Bier & Kitchen—as well as the Block 15 Brewery & Tap Room in south Corvallis. We are proud to have remained brewer-owned from day one.
Our 20bbl production brewery, built in 2015 and located in the shadow of the coastal range in south Corvallis, is the workhorse of our brewing operations. In addition to an increased-capacity brewhouse, our production brewery houses custom-designed Uni-tanks, a custom-fabricated mixing tank, a Meheen bottling line, and a Wild Goose canning line.

Bottle thanks to the Boise crew. Pours a copper color with a large white head. The aroma is awesome sour fruit, apricot, dusty, lactic sourness. The flavor is excellent: big sweet fruity drenched in sour tart barrel and vinous notes, big apricot, leaves very tart. Damn good.

Bottle @ Stephen’s house. Thanks André! A touch reddish orange, cloudy appearance with a dissipating white head. Peach bretty, pineapple, coconut, light oak, somewhat yeasty, lightly vinous aroma. Moderately sour, tangy pineapple, pear, peach, vanilla, tart red wine, light lacto, coconut/oak flavor. Really a pretty nice fruity element but nothing too complex.

Tasting at Papsø’s
Cloudy amber color. The first evident aroma is vanilla oak. The malt flavor is sweet, full of vanilla from the wood, strong bitterness and strong alcohol.
Too much.
