It was 2011 and the first craft breweries were just starting, but we already felt that one day we are going to be a part of this incredible movement. In July 2014 we brewed a first commercial batch in a neighbour artisan brewery. Our idea was to work in a contractual system, where we would use big breweries spare production capacities while learning how to move to our own place. During the next few years we brewed in four different breweries, to finally find our home in Browar Zapanbrat in 2017. We make a great team with the folks working there and our partnership is a real treasure!
Today Trzech Kumpli along with Browar Zapanbrat is a craft-beer-obsessed group of 16 people. We still feel the same excitement we felt in that kitchen years ago. Truly, beermaking is like a virus, once it’s in your bloodstream there’s no getting it out

On tap at Warsaw Beer Festival 2025. Pours nearly black with a tan head. Burnt toast and black rum on the nose. Flavour has burnt bread crusts, dry sugars, and a ton of harsh spiced rum. The base beer is great, but the rum barrel completely bulldozes the beer.

On tap at Warsaw Beer Festival 2025. Pours murky brown with a beige head. Woody smoke and toasted bready malts on the nose. Flavour has woody smoke, toasted bread, and dry brown sugars. A touch sweet, but still pretty solid.

On tap at WBF 2025, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has a wonderful peated whiskey character, smoky malts, and subtle vanillin. Flavour is intense, with huge peated whiskey barrels, burnt malts, and a touch of vanilla. Intense but integrated. Excellent.

On tap at WBF 2025, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma has some slightly smoky malty, toasted notes, and some vanillin. Flavour has a nice peated smokiness, vanillin, and medium roast. Complex malts and wonderful peat. Fantastic.

Rather low head. Gold color beer, slightly foggy.
In aroma there's a slight hint of alcohol, some resin, notes of drug store. But the overall aroma is pleasant. It has a tropical profile, with bubble gum hint.
It's highly bitter. The bitterness is long and residues in the back of the tongue.
Thick body for an IPA.

On tap at WBF 2025, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma is intense and yet complex, with huge bourbon barrels, cocoa, and burnt sugars. Flavour is aggressive, with huge bourbon barrel presence, plenty of heat, and some cocoa—not getting the coconut. Massive barrel-dominated finish. Excellent.

On tap at WBF 2025, pours a dirty dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is full of elegant red wine barrels, deep dark dried fruit, and caramel malt. Flavour is rich and yet integrated and contained, with big red wine barrel presence, bready caramel malt, and dark dried fruits. Finishes fairly dry for a barley wine, with great vinous character. Excellent.

On tap at Warsaw Beer Festival 2025. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Raw coconut, cacao, and some earthy roasted malt on the nose. Flavour has earthy roasted malt, raw coconut, bourbon. Very good.

On tap at Warsaw Beer Festival 2025. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Nose is fairly gentle with some bready malts and dried fruit. Flavour has bready malts, dried fruits, light tannins that seem out of place here. I don't really like how the red wine barrel works here, but it's still pretty solid.
