50cl swing top bottle as a gift in Tallinn. Pours slightly hazy deep golden to amber with an off-white head. Malty and fruity aroma with mild bready notes, hops and hints of caramel and herbs. Moderate to medium sweet with malty and slightly bready flavour with some fruity notes and a pleasant and balanced bitterness. Well balanced and quite tasty.

Piwo dziwne jak na Amber ale. No oczywiscie ciemnawo bursztynowe i zmetnione totalnie mozna by powiedziec. No ale Piwo ma malo slodowa podstawe niewielka dawke karmelu. Chmiel jest ale srednio dominujacy. Dla mnie blizsze bylo IPA niz Amber Ale. No ale coz taka wariacja tez jest ciekawa.

Dobre piwo choc niezbyt agresywnie nachmielone chmielami rodem z US. Ciemno bursztynowe piwo z biala dobrej jakosci piana oblepiajaca szklo ale opadajaca dosc szybko. Finisz zdecydowanie goryczkowy i dlugi. Metnosc bardzo dobra. zapach amerykanskich chmieli czyli nieco cytrusow i ananasa oraz melona. Ale delikatny to zapach trzeba mocno pociagnac nosem by to wyczuc.

Bottle from a Tallinn supermarket. Poured a murky light brown with a frothy white head and plenty of bubbles. The aroma is big yeast, grain, citrus. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a mineral, earthy, roasted coffee, grassy, spice hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. This beer was certainly unusual. It looks awful but the aroma is interesting and there was a lot going on later on. Many people will find the look off-putting, but put on a mask and keep drinking. It’s quite special.

Bottle from a Tallinn supermarket. 5.4% ABV, Batch 049. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is roasted malt with some light creamy caramel. The flavour is medium bitter with a malt liqourice bitter, light barnyard, camembert cheesy, hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation. A most unusual porter!

Bottle from Drink Shop, Tallinn, Batch 038. Poured a murky medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is grassy hop, light resin, light floral. The flavour is medium bitter with a big resin, medicinal hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. The aroma was great but the palate dreadful. This beer does not work at all for me. I’d love to know what hops were used. Served slightly warmer. If it had been cool it might have been more bearable, but that would only have helped mask the flavours.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - batch 043 - BB 28/12/2014, at Drink Baar, 20140715) The beer poured brown and somewhat cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, malts and molasses. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, malts, molasses, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, hoppy and bitter. A good malt-forward hoppy brew.
