Burk stor ölprovning med PQ. . Här har vi jordgubbe 🍓 och jävligt god jordgubbe 🍓.Kanske från urshult? Och sen finns det krämig choklad där som flyter runt. Denna öl näst bäst ikväll.

440ml Can @ Benzai's Anti-Carnival Valentine's Day Tasting, Feb 26. Clear gold, white head. Good NZ hop profile, strong rakau gooseberry nelson, brittle bitter edge, but not my fave hop combination.

330mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown / dark mahogany / near-black, almost no head. Aroma has intense oak, vanillin, alcohol, dark dried fruits, and toffee. Flavour has a sort of amaro-like spirit character, toffee, gentle bourbon, dark sugars, and alcohol. The carb is a bit too flat, but not too unfitting for a 30-month BA barley wine. Rich, nicely designed BA barley wine. Very good.

Dark brown. The aroma is great. Rich sugars, and abundant character, and a lot of alcohol. On the palate, burnt dark sugars. There's orangey notes, figs, dark malts, plenty of vanillins. It's oily and slick, but fantastic complexity.

330mL bottle. Pours very dark brown. Thick toffee, dried fruits, and bourbon barrels on the nose. Flavour is rich with toffee malts, gentle dried fruits, and a very nice bourbon barrel character. I really like how this comes together, the base is thick and the barrels round it out. Fantastic.
