Description

Hazy dark golden with a thin white head. Sweet aroma with some yeast and coriander. Sweet taste. Prickly carbonation and a leatherlike cellar-type undertone. Nice mature tripel

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! A almost black beer with a small most good lasting beige head. Aroma of strong dark malt, wood, liquorice, anis. Taste of anise, spices, cookies, cinnamon, dark malt, "Jägermeister"

Bottle. Color: Golden, white head. Taste: Principle just what it says: An abbey tripel with brett. The tripel is medium bodied, under medium sweet with fruity notes, apricot. Some hints of the oak aging. Unfortunately the tripel taste is overpowering the brett. Because of that, at first note this beer is like a 'clumsy' tripel. I like experiences with brett, but this one is just not doing the trick. Not too bad, but not memorable either. Keep experimenting...

33cl Bottle from Mitra Beukenweg. Almost clear deep amber colour, beige head. Aroma of star anise, spicy yeast, cinnamon, amber malts, reminds me of St.Feuillien or La Gauloise beers, very spicy and sweet. Flavour is very spicy and sweet as well, less ‘funky’ but more sweet, amber malts, star anise, almost no smoke detected. Cloying and over-spiced. Not very good.
