4e Noordelijk Lentebieren Festival, Leeuwarden, 2016 Grutte Pier ût e ton, dat mut ik hewwe.. zure bende héérlijk... nou dat is’t krekt net... op basis van hetzelfde recept als de Grutte Pier Tipel is dit bier op ’t vat gezet met daarbij ander hop en gist alsmede Brettanomyces. Nu ben ik toch wel een liefhebber van Brett als het goed uitvalt en was dan ook zeer benieuwd naar deze. Komt van ’t fust/vat wazig geel gouden met beperkte witte kraag. aroma is redelijk aan de zoetige kant, vrij veel koriander, citrus, sinaasappel, mout, weinig brett. Smaken zijn matig zoet, licht bitter,fruitig, sinaasappel, citrus, redelijk fris, weinig tot totaal géén Brett..... verdomde jammer.... maar doordat het bier waarschijnlijk wat wat verser en daardoor wat frisser is dan de reguliere batch van de Grutte Pier Tripel, is hij voor mij net wat beter.. maar toegevoegde effect van ’t vat, Brett cultuur is ’nul’ voor mij. overall géén topper.. ------------ Rerate tijdends Doktober 2016, deze keer zit er iig Brett in het aroma en licht in de smaak, de matige tripel wordt er nu toch echt wel wat beter van. Plus van 3.2 naar 3.5

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, orangey golden colour with huge, firm, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity and minimally grainy aroma, ester-like notes of peach, apricot and mirabelle, a touch of butterscotch. Taste is moderately sweet fruity - hints of apricot and peach, a touch of banana -, minimally spicy yeasty, a floral yeasty touch as well, hints of alcohol.

At Camping Ratebeers. Murky golden colour, white head. Aroma is sweet, yeasty, spicy, fruity, plastic. Flavour is sweet, fruity, honey, yeasty, light plastic, bitter finish. Medium bodied, light alcohol heat.

Klare dunkel goldgelbe Farbe, mittelgroße weiße Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, floral, würzig, gering Honig. Geschmack süß malzig, Honig, floral hopfig, Gewürze, ganz ok!

Draft at The Hague beer festival. Pours very hazy orange with a cream head. Aroma of soluable aspirin, nettles, veggies and light caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Light medium bodied with light carbonation.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Dutchdrebus. Slightly unclear yellow to orange color, very hazy after pouring in the last part of the bottle. Average sized off-white head that diminishes fairly quickly. Smell and taste malts, a hint of dishwasher water, sweetish, coriander. Average body and soft carbonation. Oh well, overall it’s not a bad beer, but a bit odd for a tripel.

Bottle @ benzai. Slightly hazy orange with a small white to of white head. Smells malts, some herbs, slightly fruity, dusty. Tastes sweet, malts, slightly yeasty, some herbs. Medium body, soft to medium carbo.
