Bottle from BiervanEijk, Frederiksoord. Aroma is lots of wood, vanilla, notes of white wine, bit grapey. Bit tart, very nice. Medium body. Good barrel blend, tastier than the original oak-aged Tripel especially due to the mild sourness.

Bottle from BiervanEijk, Frederiksoord. Very woody aroma with grape, vinous notes, some dark malt, red wine, dominated by the barrel and wood. Hint of liquorice. The base Imperial Stout seems lost... Flavour is a little vinous tartness, light sweet. Body is medium. A bit messy, total barrel takeover.

330ml can at 7.5%. Clear gold, white head, modest retention. Aroma of malt, banana, coriander, light citric notes; its fine but not too complex or fresh. Taste has a yeasty-citric and herbal element with plenty of malt and some banana esters. Its not unpleasant and has that alcohol warmth but It just tastes like its been strained through 2 week worn socks to give a touch of staleness..

Bottle 0,33ltr: Almost black colored brew but it's dark brown. Sweetish bitter of taste with hints of caramel, sweet kind of nuts, dried fruits and very subtle the Frisian liqueur Beerenburger.
