Innovative, promising and high-quality microbrewery. This are the significant words that describe our young team of Green Gold Brewing from Savinja Valley in the heart of Slovenia. And if you ask us about our distinctive characteristic, we would definitely say that there is something about the place where we live, breath and work. Why so? Our hometown is one of the most significant Slovenian (and also European) hop regions – therefore we had no choice but to brew the best beer.

Just like every successful story, ours started in the garage of today’s Green Gold Brewing. From the very beginning, owner Luka Rojnik strives for beer not only to be a drink but a surplus with amazing superpowers. In our beers, the Slovenian tradition and years of brewing experiences are intertwined by Luka’s accumulation of different acknowl- edges throughout the world.

In the story of Green Gold Brewing, Slovene hop varieties Aurora, Styrian Dragon, Celeia, Bobek, Styrian Wolf and others are playing the main roles. They are so important to us that you will find them in every can, beer tap or barrel that you choose, whether it’s a Pale Ale, IPA, Hoppy Lager or something else.

Ljubljana Beer & Burger Festival, October 2017. Shared with lovely Anja! Murky dark golden, small lasting off-white head. Lightly to moderately hoppy, fruity, malty. Moderate bitterness, balanced. Medium body, moderate carbonation, light bitter finish. Not bad, just really light and faint.

Ljubljana Beer & Burger Festival, September 2017. Shared with lovely Anja! Murky golden, small lasting off-white head. Lightly to moderately hoppy, tropical, fresh fruity hops. Very nice bitterness. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, very dry finish. Good one, fresh wet hop, bitterness is great, aroma a bit light.

Hazy, golden colored, small+ white head. Aroma is of some pale malt, herbal, moderate- fruity and citrus notes. Taste is medium sweet pale malt, medium- fruity and citrus hops, grassy-herbal, medium bitterness which is a bit sharp, dryish finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, oily. Compared to the Wolf wet hop, this one has much less aroma and isn't as pleasant. (on tap, Sir Williams, Ljubljana)

Hazy, yellow-golden colored, medium white frothy head, decent lasting. Aroma is of some malt, pleasant tropical, citrusy and coconut hoppy notes, Wolf!, some herbal notes. Taste is medium sweet pale malt, moderate hoppy mix of tropical fruit, coconut and citrus, some herbal notes, medium bitterness, dry finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, oily. Wet hoppy Wolf! (on tap, Sir Williams, Ljubljana)

Pours hazy and pale straw golden, topped with a medium sized and very nicely lasting offwhite head. Some sweet fruity hoppy notes, grassiness and some milder bready backbone. Medium bitterness, quite intensely grassy with some back bready sweetness. Slight peppery finish. Lasting aftertaste. Lighter body, Typcial classical lager with modern nose.

Pours just slightly hazy yellow-golden, topped with a solid and pretty lasting medium sized white head. Very pleasant and intense citrusy aroma with soem tropical bubblegum notes. Some milder fruity sweetness, sharp herbal bitterness and lasting aftertaste. Medium light body and nicely enjoyable.

Pours hazy golden coloured, topped with a smaller and nonlasting white head. Gentle, though a bit softer fruity aroma, tropical notes, with some pine and later on candy feel. Moderate bitterness, grassy-herbal and quite sharp. Lighter body. Lasting afetrtaste. Too sharp herbal character for me, though still nicely drinkable.

Can courtesy of Hrabren, shared with him and Sandi ST. Slightly hazy amber-red body, off white head. Excellent, just excellent aroma... sandalwood, orange... Styrian Wolf (and, perhaps Fox) make it seem like it's Sorachi. So clear and fresh. Lovely taste, similar, orange, sandalwood, pistacchio, on top of clear light maltiness. They took a boring style and made it fantastic with such clear hoppiness (their own I guess, heh). Hats off.

0.33 l can from Pivo and Burger Fest, Ljubljana. Shared with Marko and Anna God. Hazy deep golden to amber, small off-white head. Moderately hoppy, tropical, melon, watermelon, bubblegum. Light caramel malts. Good balance in aroma, fruity and spicy, toasty aroma. Light to medium body, very drinkable, moderate carbonation, moderate finish, dry. Wonderful aroma, the rest is solid.
