On tap at Het Brouwcafé. Hazy yellow colour, white head. Aroma of spices, fruits, slightly sour, a hint of diacetyl. Flavour is soft, spicy, fruity, slightly sour, a bit sweet, with a light bitter finish. A bit less than medium bodied. Nice, but again, infected.

On tap at Het Brouwcafé. Murky brown colour, off white head. Aroma of sugar, roasted malts, dates, light diacetyl. Flavour is sweet, slightly sour, burnt sugar, dates, light roasted malts. Medium bodied, prickly mouthfeel. This beer has some good potential, but is -as all the beers I had at the brewpub- ruined by an infection.

On tap at Het Brouwcafé. Hazy amber colour, white head. Aroma of diacetyl, some toasted malts and caramel. Flavour is all sourness and diacetyl, a massive infection, and this was sold as beer of the month! A waste.

On tap at Het Brouwcafé. Hazy yellow colour, thin bright white head. Aroma of lots of diacetyl, citrus, some grain. Flavour is light sweet, citrus, wheat, butter, light fruity. Light sour finish. A bit thin but refreshing, if it wasn’t infected.

Slightly hazy orange-amber beer with yellow-orange, fine & dense head. Lactic acid nose, slightly woody, faint spicey (nothing in particular). Rosehips? Quite inviting, but this kind of nose can be ominous. Strange combination of smoked and citruslike sourness. Spiciness remains, but no restsugars, though I get some caramelflavour hints. Sourness is not lactic in the taste. The flavours are nice, a bit lacking is the balance however. There’s no new aftertaste; the smokiness - with light bitterish spicey colouring - holding out longer than the acidity. Rather thinnish body. I cannot put my finger upon what is ailing me, but I get an impression of "Ouf, it turned out right, after all." Maybe it’s me. Thanks, Dean. BTW, my label is suitably different, and does not mention "amber"?

Rerate: bottle brought by a friend, small sample. Slight hazy golden color, big frothy head. Aroma is slight spicy, bit grainy malt. Slight bitter in taste, some sweetness, slight yeasty. Not really outspoken. But at least not sour or weird like the original rate. Upping the score. Originale rate: Tap, Brouwcafe. Hazy golden color, medium white creamy head. Grainy triple aroma, bit in the sour brouwcafe style. Too sour taste, sticky and sirupy. Too bad. I think the beers of the brouwcafe have potential, but they should get rid of the sourness in their brews. 1.9
