Bottle, thanks a lot Fin. Red amber, golden foam, certainly more a Bock than Heller Bock. Juicy malt, sweet honey, melanoidin, roast notes. Medium full, light sticky mouthfeel. Roast and honey aftertaste. Overall a bit too sweet even for me.

Dark amber colour, cloudy, rocky head that stays for a while. Aroma is dark bread. Light bitterness. Soft carbonation, medium body. Not bad, but a bit boring.

Bottle from a local supermarket. Looks simple but good. Beer in the glass with a nice head. Starts mild, malty, yeasty, modest dry. Some soapy notes. Mild sweetish background, some herbal notes as well. Finish well balanced. Not bad.

Pours a hazy amber colour with a medium sized creamy off white head. Aromas of dry dark fruits, brown bread, fruit cake, caramel and nuts. Taste has more dry dark fruits, brown bread, fruit cake, caramel and nuts with some sweet honey but well balanced with a light earthy hop bitterness. Subtle warming alcohol also present. Alcohol extremely well hidden for 11% abv. Full body, fairly low carbonation and smooth thick sticky mouthfeel. Excellent Doppelbock one of the best I have tried.

Bottle online from Beers Of Europe. Pours a clear golden colour with a large throthy white head. Aromas of grains, hay and doughy white bread. Taste has more grains, hay and bread. Malty beer with a gentle earthy hop on the slightly dry finish. One reviewer described this beer as corny malt which is a good description. Medium body with average carbonation. Nice Export.
